Yesterday afternoon was back-to-school night. We met Harrison's teacher for the first time. Her name is Ms Garbett. She has black hair and a 9-year-old granddaughter who is staying with her while her 39-year-old daughter is in Africa. Harrison likes that everything is his size. I volunteered to visit the class once a week -- Tuesdays from 10:15-11:00. During that time I'll read to the children. School starts at 8:15 and ends at 11:00. Harrison played on the playground after our visit inside the school. He is very good at talking to and playing with the other children.

Later that evening, I went to my soccer coaching meeting. I came home with a bag full of balls and a box full of uniforms. Our first official game is on 10 Sept at 10:00. The next two games are at 11:00. We play every Saturday behind Butler Middle School which is just south of Butler Elementary on 2700 East. Harrison chose the number six jersey. That's the first perfect number. The multiples of 6 are 1, 2 & 3. If you add those multiples together (1+2+3=6) you get 6. Our team is black and red. There are 5 boys on our team. This will be a lot of fun.
