Let the Countdown begin

It's officially December now. My son will sleep easier knowing this is at least the same month in which Santa will visit him. The last days of November have been killing him. The child hates surprises. We bought a Christmas CD to have some fun with, we hung icicle lights on the house, we put up and decorated a tree. All these things were to help divert his attention from the two wrapped gifts in the house which taunt him. I know how he feels. I unwrapped and rewrapped many a gift in my childhood. And I don't regret it. I'd do it again. Good luck to the boy...

I miss that feeling for sure. Nothing is as magical as childhood, especially at Christmas time. What is so magical about it anyway? What is it about Santa Claus(e) and Christmas that fills us with such a joyful feeling? I'm glad I still spend Christmas at Mom and Dad's house.

Aim, did I ever unwrap and rewrap? Of course I did and I snooped through Mom and Dad's bedroom. And I even snuck upstairs one year while Santa was putting out the presents. I wasn't always the most honest child.
